The resort was fantastic and the location was superb. That was also a nice option.Īll in all, for being so close to Phuket, you really felt like you were in a whole different world. On the way home, we just took a tuk-tuk to the ferry and then had a private car from there. If you do, you can go straight to the resort and do not waste time waiting for the ferry. We booked for a private transport to the hotel upon our arrival and I would definitely recommend this for when you first arrive. I would highly recommend their excursions. We had a wonderful time and they packed us a delicious lunch and took lots of photos for us. While the prices at the hotel are not cheap (compared to what you can find if you go for a walk) you know that you are going to get quality service. We book a day excursion as we wanted a chance to get to see the other islands and go snorkeling. ![]() Directly outside the resort, you will find a cute little coffee/book shop as well as a bar.Įxcursions. We went out for dinner every night and had a great time exploring. The roads are dark at night but the Resort provides everyone with a flash light. ![]() There are a ton of options to eat outside the resort if you do not mind walking. We usually filled up at breakfast and went for an early dinner outside the resort. We also eat lunch here which was very good but rather expensive. I was impressed with the quality and the variety. Lots of sun and shade depending on what you are looking for.īreakfast was very good and had a ton of options. The pool looks right over the water and was very nice to have a drink at. They have free paddle boards and kayaks as well as bicycles. ![]() A lot of reviews for this island talk about there being no water at low tide but we did not experience that in March. I would say the water was very clear 50% of the time during our stay. It just depends on how rough the current is. The water can be crystal clear some days and murky other days. It was very nice as you could go for a swim but then dry off in a less sandy location. They are setup on the grass behind the beach and right in front the villa. They have lounge chairs throughout the property but none of them are setup on the beach. The shower is outdoor but very private and very nice. We were so comfortable and were even too cold some nights. As you can tell from the pictures, it is "open air" in the sense that they have glass doors and open slotted walls but they do have A/C and it works amazing. It was amazing and the view was breath taking.įamily Villa - This was a very nice room. One night, they offered a free happy hour at the back part of the resort and at the very top (behind all the hilltop villas) they have a bar. Each tented Villa has their own pool and sits high up on the hill (behind the main resort) and has an absolutely amazing view but you have to take a golf cart to get to the main resort where the spa and dining are located. The back part of the resort has the Tented Villas with a Pool. That is also where the restaurant, Spa and Pool are located. The beach front property includes the Family Beach Villas as well as Sea Breeze Studio (without A/C). We stayed in the Family Beach Villa (2 beds, 1 bath, A/C) which was directly on the beach. We finally decided on Koyao Island Resort but it was hard to get a lot of information so I am hoping to provide that here for anyone doing their research. We did not have that much time so I struggled to decide if it was worth going to an Island that was further away. I wanted a place that had a great beach, crystal clear water, and an amazing resort. I had a really hard time deciding which Island to go to.
